SendDraughtsman/-woman
Draughtsmen and draughtswomen produce the technical documentation for products in the machinery and metal-working industry. They develop and design individual components or assemblies for machines, apparatus and plant as well as tools and fixtures for production.
Using computer programs - CAD - they produce manufacturing, assembly and testing documentation. They enter the required production data such as dimensions, materials, surface composition and much more on the drawings.
Prerequisites:
- Completion of "Sekundarschule A or B" (i.e. normal high-school graduation or advanced level high-school graduation or equivalent) - for more demanding positions
- Interest in mathematics, geometry and physics
- Interest in and understanding of technical matters
- Capacity for spatial visualization
- Interest in working with computers
- Ability to work in a team
- Conscientious method of working
Duration of Apprenticeship: 4 years
Training Location: Zurich
